Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transplant Coordinator to join our team at VCU Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, coordinating transplant services, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate transplant services, including patient assessment, education, and post-transplant care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with transplant surgeons, nephrologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the transplant process
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance transplant services and patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligibility
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience in transplant, critical care, or medical-surgical nursing
  • Two years of progressive leadership experience
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in transplant care
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of clinical experience in the transplant field
  • Academic healthcare experience
  • Advanced practice nursing role or clinical leadership experience
