Director, Media Activation

Role Summary & Impact

As a Director of Paid Social, you will develop and execute innovative delivery strategies that align with our clients' business objectives, driving growth and improving the career paths of supporting staff in our digital community. You will lead the development and management of effective delivery strategies, ensuring seamless communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the engagement. Your expertise will ensure the social product is delivered in a professional and comprehensive form, with actionable insights and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate paid social strategies for clients, ensuring recommendations and decisions are data-driven and result-oriented.
  • Synthesize information to build our capacity and capability in joined-up marketing, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Assume a lead role in building and integrating social efforts, ensuring tight alignment with the business strategy and driving business outcomes.
  • Investigate new opportunities to expand our advisory offering, identifying areas for growth and development.
  • Direct and coach talented team members, providing constructive feedback and evaluation to drive performance and growth.
  • Provide stewardship advising on all paid social matters, ensuring expertise and best practices are applied.
  • Oversee the work of other GroupM disciplines, industry groups, and media partners, driving integration and collaboration.
  • As our key client contact, you will synthesize information related to opportunities and risks to our senior management team, driving informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Communications, or Advertising; or equivalent professional work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience planning and buying across all platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and TikTok.
  • Fortune 100 client-facing strategic experience preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive solid results to grow the business.
  • Prior experience managing a team, demonstrating the ability to train and grow junior members and serve as a reliable mentor.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork.
  • Exhibit passion through participation in team, agency, and industry initiatives.
