Dental Assistant Oral Surgery Specialist

About the Role:As a Dental Assistant Oral Surgery Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinicians in providing high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing patients for oral examination, assisting with dental procedures, and maintaining a clean and sterile environment. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our team of experienced professionals to learn new skills and advance your career.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for oral examination and assist with dental procedures
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Work closely with clinicians and other dental professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
- Assist with radiographs and intra-oral pictures
- Prepare tray setups for dental procedures
- Keep patients' mouths dry and clear
- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
- Record patient charting and clinician notes
- Support patient care by presenting treatment records and consents
- Ensure equipment is maintained according to manufacturer's guidelines
- Work closely with Lead Dental Assistant to ensure adequate clinical supplies
- Utilize technology to operate and explain equipment to others
- Participate in daily morning huddles and monthly team meetings
- Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Certificates/Licenses/Registrations as mandated by state
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance (or reliable means of alternate transportation)
- Ability to travel to multiple offices per day
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential patient records
- Organized and detail-oriented with ability to work in fast-paced environment
