Job Description
The Clinical Nurse Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a team of clinical support staff, including RNs, LVNs, CMAs, and technicians, to deliver high-quality patient care in ambulatory care units at The University of Texas at Austin. This role reports directly to the Nurse Manager and is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of clinical services.

Salary and Benefits
$93,500-$105,000+ annually, depending on qualifications and experience, plus comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of clinical support staff to deliver high-quality patient care in ambulatory care units.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical operations, including staffing schedules, workflow optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to ensure staff are adequately trained, supported, and developed to meet the evolving needs of the department.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical teams, management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide direct nursing care to patient populations as needed based on clinic staffing ratios.

Requirements
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas with at least 2 years of nursing experience.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
  • Familiarity with business office machines, including computers, Microsoft Word tools, multi-line phones, copiers, and fax machines.
