Position Overview

Leidos is seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to enhance our Corporate Tax division. This role involves providing support for tax planning and audit functions concerning Leidos' international operations. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with various levels of staff, management, and external advisors to facilitate Leidos' ongoing operations and future growth in both domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the global transfer pricing framework for designated jurisdictions, including:
    • Preparation of master and local files, along with compliance for transfer pricing documentation
    • Coordination with external consultants
    • Collaboration with the intercompany accounting team to analyze related party transactions
  • Manage foreign corporate income tax audits and transfer pricing inquiries for specific jurisdictions
  • Provide guidance to Leidos business units regarding cross-border transactions and their transfer pricing implications
  • Work with operational, legal, and accounting teams to determine foreign tax obligations for new entities and branches
  • Conduct research on foreign tax issues and document findings
  • Stay informed on changes in both US and international tax laws
  • Support M&A activities, including gain/loss calculations and US tax disclosures
  • Assist with various ad-hoc tax projects and deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of corporate tax experience in a public accounting firm or a multinational corporation
  • At least 3 years of recent experience in international tax
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing principles and US reporting obligations related to foreign operations
  • Strong understanding of US tax regulations and corporate tax compliance
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including the ability to analyze financial data
  • Experience addressing international tax challenges
  • Capability to conduct both US and foreign tax research and document conclusions
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, influencing decision-making processes
  • Flexibility to accommodate global business needs, including availability for discussions across different time zones
