We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Biomedical Engineer Clinical GS-14 to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering program, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall planning, direction, and execution of our Clinical Engineering program.
Key Responsibilities- Exercise authority to oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the Clinical Engineering program.
- Approve multi-year and long-range plans developed by subordinate levels and manage the overall work to ensure achievement of those goals and objectives.
- Oversee the revision of long-range plans, goals, and objectives under their authority and manage changes to the structure and content of the Clinical Engineering program.
- Exercise discretionary authority to approve allocation and distribution of funds in the service's budget.
- Plan, design, and implement programs, projects, studies, or other work.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering from an accredited school of engineering.
- Completion of at least one year of experience equivalent to the next lower-level GS-13.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities in managing overall department resources, developing local or VISN policies, and analyzing complex organizational and operational problems.
