Pharmacy Technician Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Actalent. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of medications for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Verify patient information and check orders for insurance approval
- Prepare medications accurately and in a timely manner according to department guidelines
- Calculate correct dosage volumes and maintain indigent patient drug programs
- Count and maintain records of controlled drugs and ensure proper disposal of materials used in IV preparations
- Clean and maintain the hood, log and check drug dates, and keep accurate temperature logs
- Manage inventory control and assist the lead admixture technician
- Prepare labels, file and prepare billing, perform data entry, and order medication and supplies
- Maintain overall sanitation in the pharmacy department
- Compounding chemotherapy experience
- Pharmacy Technician certification
- Oncology experience
This is a PRN role, and you will be notified of being scheduled as soon as the hiring manager knows. You will work 8am-5pm or 9am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
