Role Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

TT Electronics is on the lookout for a Process Improvement Engineer to enhance our Operational Excellence team. This position involves the development and refinement of manufacturing processes and products through collaborative efforts with Design Engineering and Production teams.

Essential Functions
  • Strategically plans and implements new programs and products into production efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Offers technical assistance to the production team for immediate problem resolution.
  • Identifies and justifies the need for new technologies, equipment, and tooling.
  • Defines and drafts tooling and manufacturing specifications for both new and existing projects.
  • Recognizes potential manufacturing risks in new initiatives and formulates risk mitigation strategies, familiar with Product Failure Effects Mode Analysis (PFEMA) and Design Failure Effects Mode Analysis (DFEMA).
  • Applies Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to ensure timely address of manufacturing efficiency requirements.
  • Leads continuous improvement initiatives across various programs and projects.
  • Creates and revises work instructions and operational procedures as necessary.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations is preferred.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in root cause analysis, are necessary.
  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and statistical tolerance methods is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with a diverse audience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles is beneficial.
  • Meets vision requirements as specified by quality management standards.
  • This position requires compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
