- Position Overview: Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all mail and distribution items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, and deliver various mail items including interoffice mail and courier packages.
- Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation.
- Track and manage courier items, including certified and accountable shipments.
- Package and label materials appropriately, adhering to safety regulations.
- Research and route unidentified mail to the correct recipients.
- Coordinate the staging and transportation of bulk mail items.
- Monitor packages for any hazardous or suspicious materials.
- Respond to customer inquiries and fulfill requests efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and requests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
- Certification in Dangerous Goods shipping is a plus.
- Familiarity with domestic and international shipping regulations is advantageous.
- Experience with shipping software from major carriers is preferred.
