We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to oversee our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our multi-business environment. With a strong background in general ledger accounting, preferably in the construction, real estate investment or skilled trade industry, you will be responsible for coordinating credit card expense tracking, monitoring bank and credit card reconciliations, and conducting balance sheet and income statement account reviews.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in a private/corporate environment, with a bachelor's degree in accounting (or finance) required. A CPA designation is also mandatory.*

As Financial Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining internal controls and improving financial processes. You will suggest systems and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy, while assisting with new accounting system implementation and staff training.

Key responsibilities include:

  • AP/AR/accounting tasks: Coordinate credit card expense tracking, monitor bank and credit card reconciliations, conduct balance sheet and income statement account reviews, and prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Financial tasks: Suggest systems/procedures to improve internal controls and efficiency of financial/acctg processes, maintain debt s/sheet, track all notes, summarize covenants, reporting reqs, guaranty and default provisions.
  • Tax-related tasks: Assist with filing Personal Property tax returns, yearly financial review and tax preparation with accounting firm, R&D tax credit tracking and yearly filing, and annual 1099 filing process.
