The Advance & Earn initiative is designed to equip NYC youth with the skills necessary for a fulfilling career in assisting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Role Expectations
The Support Services Coordinator will be responsible for fostering and sustaining positive connections with funding entities, partner organizations, educational institutions, training facilities, employers, participants, their families, and internal staff.

This role entails meeting the obligations of all assigned contracts and adhering to compliance standards.

Compensation and Benefits
The Support Services Coordinator position offers an annual salary ranging from $38,000 to $42,000, accompanied by a comprehensive health benefits package at low or no cost, reflecting AHRC NYC's commitment to the well-being of our employees and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture exceptional relationships with all assigned job seekers to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure successful employment outcomes.
  • Provide coverage within the program during periods of significant staff absence.
  • Offer counseling to participants in both group and individual settings.
  • Ensure program compliance with New York State regulations, Department of Labor standards, Federal guidelines, and the Workforce Investment Act.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team activities, including case conferences and staff meetings.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to job seekers before and after placements, collaborating with Account Executives and other EBS personnel.
  • Build community relationships and coordinate outreach events to recruit new program enrollees.
  • Facilitate Job Clubs and other pre-employment workshops addressing employment-related topics.
  • Conduct initial assessments of potential new enrollees and guide them through the enrollment process alongside their families and other service providers.
  • Perform Discovery processes for individuals as directed by the supervisor.
  • Participate in Person-Centered practices, including Discovery, Community Engagement activities, and Customized Employment.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.
