Job Overview

Maxar Space Systems is seeking a dedicated and experienced Benefits Analyst to oversee and manage employee leave of absence programs. This role is fully remote within the United States and focuses on providing expert guidance and support to employees navigating the leave process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and process leave of absence requests while maintaining precise leave records and ensuring adherence to applicable federal, state, and local leave regulations (such as FMLA and ADA).
  • Offer clear guidance to employees and management regarding leave policies and procedures.
  • Communicate leave status updates to employees, including implications for pay and benefits.
  • Monitor leave data, create reports, and analyze trends to inform decision-making.
  • Accurately manage data within the HRIS system, specifically Workday.
  • Collaborate with employees, managers, and HR Business Partners on leave-related matters.
  • Reconcile payroll deductions related to employee leaves.
  • Maintain open communication during the leave period and facilitate a smooth return to work.
  • Document all leave processes and decisions thoroughly.
  • Assist with other Total Rewards and People initiatives as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Leave of Absence and Benefits Administration.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; alternatively, four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
  • At least 2 years of practical experience with Workday.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely while upholding confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Excel with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A meticulous approach to detail-oriented tasks.

Compensation

Maxar Technologies offers competitive salaries that reflect market standards and individual expertise. The salary range for this position is between $59,000 and $99,000 annually.
