We are seeking a highly skilled Billing and Collections Representative to join our team at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for verifying and pre-coding charge batches, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims.
Key Responsibilities:- Verify authorization for patient visits and ensure accurate billing information
- Register new patients into our electronic medical record system, including demographics and insurance information
- Verify the use of CPT and ICD-10 codes and modifiers for all charge sessions/encounters
- Process daily claim edits for rejected claims and provide professional customer service to patients
- Assist with other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year of experience in medical billing or a related field
- Technical savvy and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
