Pediatric Occupational Therapist PRN Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team of rehabilitation professionals at Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital in Fairfax, VA. As a PRN Occupational Therapist, you will work in the pediatric and NICU departments, providing high-quality care to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient progress and independence.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and goals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide education and training to patients and families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • VA License required.
  • 1 year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Our pediatric rehab team provides therapy services to the 226-bed pediatric hospital, which includes a PICU, Cardiac Unit, Intermediate Care Unit, Medical/Surgical Unit, Hematology/Oncology, and Level IV NICU.
