Position Summary:
This senior position is integral to the Supply Chain Diversification Team, which operates on a global scale. The team's primary focus is to assist the organization in navigating supply chain transitions to new regions and countries. The objective is to thoroughly understand, evaluate, and provide compliance insights regarding how these transitions will affect downstream supply chains, particularly concerning cost, lead times, compliance, and labeling requirements.
Key Duties:
- Concentrate on regulations related to US origin and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to address Supply Chain Compliance challenges.
- Support the development and implementation of tools for origin determination and communication.
- Engage with various IT systems and software to create automated solutions that enhance compliance and cost-efficiency, including tracking origin changes and implementing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
- Clearly communicate legal processes, marking requirements, and system impacts to operational teams.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and supply chains to ascertain the Country of Origin for both exports and imports.
- Work alongside regional teams to ensure all trade-related concerns are incorporated into analyses and feedback.
- Design and troubleshoot systems and processes that aid in origin determination.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge of US customs regulations, with a specific emphasis on origin determination, marking, and FTAs.
- Ability to comprehend and, if necessary, learn multi-regulatory requirements across different countries.
- Robust business insight with a strategic mindset and an ability to view the broader picture.
- Extensive experience in project and process management.
- Capability to influence and collaborate across multiple functional teams.
- Proficiency in managing tight deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to learn and assimilate complex processes in a rapidly evolving work setting.
- Flexibility to adjust to fast-paced and changing environments.
- Willingness to acquire knowledge of technical aspects of Trade Compliance, including Origin and Classification, and their implications for the business.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong track record of meeting stringent deadlines.
- This role demands exceptional analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end supply chains.
- Experience with systems such as EDI, SAP, or other ERP solutions is advantageous.
