Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee and participate in projects concerning air quality and waste management, ensuring adherence to environmental laws and standards.
  • Perform air quality evaluations, emissions inventories, and waste storage/handling assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate the environmental implications of projects and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Keep updated on environmental regulations, policies, and guidelines related to air quality and waste management.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental requirements for all projects.
  • Plan and manage air emission testing initiatives.
  • Draft air and waste permit applications and engage with permitting authorities.
  • Calculate air emissions and waste generation estimates for chemical production and other operations.
  • Engage closely with clients to comprehend their air quality and waste reduction goals and provide expert recommendations.
  • Stay informed about new technologies in air quality monitoring and pollution control systems.
  • Propose and implement creative solutions to improve environmental performance.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers in their professional growth.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering with a focus on air quality and waste.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant air quality and waste regulations and environmental impact assessment procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
