Senior Geologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geologist to join our team at Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC). As a Senior Geologist, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and establishment of our Environmental Practice in Johnson City.

The Senior Geologist will be responsible for managing current clients, developing new business, and managing projects. You will also mentor junior staff and provide senior direction on a variety of projects for real estate, mining, power sector, manufacturing, industrial, and public sector clients.

• Manage current clients and develop new business opportunities
• Manage projects, including environmental due diligence, brownfield redevelopment, and subsurface investigations
• Mentor junior staff and provide senior direction on projects
• Develop investigation and remediation work plans, corrective action plans, and final reports
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for air, water, and wastewater

• B.S. in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (M.S. a plus)
• 10+ years' experience managing and executing environmental projects under federal/state programs and industry standards
• Strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills
• Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
