Are you passionate about supporting the growth and development of children and families? Do you want to be part of a team that prioritizes patient care and teamwork? We are seeking a Certified Child Life Therapist to join our team at The Woman's Hospital of Texas.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Child Life Specialist PRN to plan, organize, and conduct Child Life Programs for inpatient infants, children, and their families. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the developmental progression of individual infants, children, and families during hospitalization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and conduct Child Life Programs for inpatient infants, children, and their families.
  • Participate in establishing, maintaining, and improving patient's health care goals through patient assessment, planning, and implementation of child life interventions and evaluation of patient outcome.
  • Complete assessments and documentation appropriately and accurately.
  • Work with other care providers to provide for continuity of patient care and to meet the needs of the customers we serve.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Child Life/Child Development and completion of internship in a Child Life Program is required.
  • Master's degree and/or completed fellowship program is preferred.
  • Child Life Specialist Certification or meet all certification eligibility requirements and pass the certification exam within six (6) months of hire is required.
  • 2 years of pediatric experience is required. NICU experience is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
