Wind Technician Job Description

NextEra Energy, Inc. is seeking a skilled Wind Technician to join our team. As a Wind Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and optimal performance of our wind farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment
  • Complete electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Maintain all company supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling
  • Apply advanced understanding of technical and process functions, as well as basic understanding of Quality Improvement (QI) processes
  • Provide oversight to other personnel and act as a Safety Mentor
  • Demonstrate mastery of process and technical skills and problem-solving expertise
Requirements:
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 2+ years
  • Ability to climb freestanding wind turbine towers
  • Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
