Reporting to the Global Head of Product Innovation, the Fixed Income Asset Class Product Head will lead a team responsible for creating and developing a pipeline of innovative products that differentiate SSGA from their competitors and enhance SSGA's prospects for revenue and asset growth.

The individual will have a deep understanding of regional client needs, competitive dynamics, regulatory trends across Fixed Income.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Managing a team of subject matters experts with a coaching and motivational leadership style that develops a culture of innovation, agility and high performance.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with investment teams and regional distribution leaders, ensuring product strategy needs and expectations are fulfilled.
  • Monitor and analyze market evolution and emerging trends to strengthen product offerings and performance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of asset class(es) and market dynamics to effectively manage product offerings.
  • Lead the development of a pipeline for innovative products that differentiate our offerings from competitors and drive revenue growth.
  • Engage in building frameworks that consider client needs, competitive dynamics, and regulatory trends to influence product design and roadmap.

Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
  • Fixed Income investments acumen with deep knowledge across the asset class and the application to product ecosystem.
  • Experience working with varied client types and knowledge of how client needs influence product design and strategy
  • Strong knowledge of the asset management industry including investors types, distribution channels, competitor landscape, investment products
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering successful product outcomes
  • Experienced leadership and people management skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform decision making
