Position Purpose

Provide quality engineering services to internal and external clients and insure that the operation of the power delivery system is optimized with respect to safety, reliability, economy and efficiency through the planning, design and implementation of transmission, substation and distribution facilities to serve new and existing customers. Responsible for the supervision of technical and engineering personnel, the planning and scheduling of complex engineering projects to ensure completion within planned schedule and acceptable budgetary tolerances. Also responsible for design and construction of transmission and sub-transmission lines, and substation equipment. Professionally interact with representatives of neighboring utilities, regulatory authorities, and employees to ensure the company satisfactorily meets goals and requirements.

Plan, organize and execute complex engineering assignments, including justification, cost estimates, design and construction management. Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of engineers and technicians within area of assigned responsibility. Estimate personnel needs, schedule and assign work, manage projects of a complex nature.

Utilize advanced techniques and electrical engineering theories and practices to originate and develop alternatives in design and operations methods and procedures, including the development of construction standards and guidelines and selection of equipment for the electric system.

Conceive, plan, and implement systems, policies and guidelines to address unique or controversial problems. Make decisions and recommendations recognized as authoritative and having an important impact on extensive engineering activities.

Assists in developing and maintaining a high-performance work force. Foster a work environment of commitment and achievement, setting high performance standards, and providing the direction, training, and development needed to achieve these standards.




Qualifications for Associate Electric Engineer - Design:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, concentration in power systems preferred.
0 - 2 Years Experience
Strong analytical ability and computer skills.

Qualifications for Electric Engineer - Design:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, concentration in power systems preferred.
Minimum of 2 years professional experience in electric power engineering.
Strong analytical ability, excellent communication and computer skills.

Qualifications for Electric Design Engineer - Design:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, concentration in power systems preferred.
Minimum of six years progressively responsible experience in electric power engineering or directly related positions.
Strong analytical ability, excellent communication and computer skills.

Qualifications for Senior Electric Engineer - Design:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of ten years progressively responsible experience in electric power engineering or directly related positions.
Excellent written and verbal communication, strong technical and analytical ability.
State of NH and/or MA registration as a Professional Engineer preferred.
