Job Overview:
The Maintenance II - Specialist will support both the maintenance and production departments with reviewing and closing out work orders while exercising the ability to program and leverage their industry knowledge.
This position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time.
The person in this position will take work seriously, have a strong sense of duty, and be disciplined. A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence.
- Exercise industry knowledge to support both maintenance and production departments.
- Review and close out work orders accurately and on time.
- Program and troubleshoot electrical circuits and equipment.
- Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Trouble shoot and repair equipment, machinery, electric controls, panel construction, wiring, fabricate, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, solder, grind, saw, use hand tools and other shop equipment.
- Safely modify and install energy control devices.
- Monitor equipment and operations to meet quality and safety standards.
- Comply with LOTO, Confined Space, Respirator, and other applicable training and procedures.
- Follow diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specs.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; talking to operator or supervisors, manufacturer's manual, and using precision measuring and testing equipment.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control.
- Maintain maintenance supplies by anticipating needed equipment and communicating needed supplies and irregularities.
- Provide direction, guidance, information, and resolve customer or product design concerns.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Maintenance, electrical, welding technical training or equivalent experience.
- Must have 4 years mechanical, electrical, welding, hydraulic, and pneumatics experience.
- Requires 5 to 7 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
- Creative self-starter and problem solver with tolerance for ambiguity.
- Computational skills required.
