Judge Direct Placement is seeking a LOCAL Assistant Quality Assurance Manager for a growing consumer products manufacturer in Pennsylvania. The qualified individual will work closely with the QA Manager. They will be responsible for the supervision of the Quality personnel. This role will ensure compliance with all customer, company, consumer and regulatory quality requirements. The Assistant QA Manager provides direction in regards to developing and implementing quality systems for the food production within the site. The candidate will also be responsible for all food safety procedures to maintain a safe and quality product. Responsibilities and requirements to successfully perform the duties of this job are listed below:Responsibilities:Supervises Quality staffWorks with Operations, Maintenance and Sanitation to ensure the production of safe, quality foodPerforms investigations, establishes corrective actions, and handles all deviationsIdentifies product improvementsEstablishes product and process sampling testing justificationsEstablishes standards and objectives for product, equipment and the plant environmentWorks closely with production and maintenance to identify work ordersEnforce company policies effectively and in a timely mannerEnsures compliance with all applicable regulations and statutes governing employeesImplements coaching and development plans for direct reportsPrepares performance evaluations for direct reportsManages and organizes information for accuracy and readabilityImplements preventative and corrective action plansAssists with reviews of quality procedures and programsUpdates and posts product technical informationCommunicates product customer approvalsEnters product hold information into Access databaseAssists in consumer complaint investigationsEnsures food safety and quality standards are always maintainedRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field preferred3+ years in the CPG, Food or Beverage2+ years of Quality Assurance experienceHACCP, SQF, BRC, ISO 22000 or ISO 9001 experience a plusSound leadership skills with a history of success storiesSelf-motivated and willing to learnAbility to work independently or in a team environmentRequires flexible hours including off shift hoursStatistics & process control understanding and executionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with Microsoft office Suite
