Vice President of Construction

Overview: Responsible for developing new resources and new revenue streams, evaluating operational processes and procedures, developing strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations. The position provides leadership for the overall operating performance of the division, monitoring and controlling construction projects through administrative direction of Project Managers/Estimators and other senior construction staff to ensure projects are built on schedule, within budget and in compliance with Company safety and procedural policies. Location: Preference may be given to candidates that can be located in one of our offices in Fargo, ND; Indianapolis, IN; or Clinton, IN. If located within 30 minutes from an office location, we work an onsite schedule. Based on the experience and skill set of the individual identified, we are open to a remote-based role with ability to travel to our office and job site locations to business needs. MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure. Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the division Responsible for interviewing and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problemsLead, promote and comply with all Company safety policies and proceduresDevelop the strategic plan for the business unit and ensure its implementationResponsible for the overall profitability of the divisionAchieve client satisfaction goals as put forth in the strategic planResponsible for the effective hiring, training and retention of employees within the divisionResponsible for overall relationship with key vendors, owners and clientsConfer with Safety Director on any jobsite safety issuesHold senior divisional management accountable to resolve all conflicts such as failure of subcontractors to perform, failure of materials to arrive, contract disputes, and trade conflictsInterface with all staff to maintain an open line of communication and reporting, monitor job progress, schedules and subcontractor performance, and coordinate the operation of the field through management of field personnelManage and supervise the teams who direct Project Managers and Field Superintendents by giving ongoing performance feedback and conducting annual performance appraisals in a timely manner.Correlate team member’s new ideas and help in implementing new policies and proceduresConfer with EVP/President and other management personnel on business continuity and succession planningServe as member of the Executive team, attending all executive staff meetings and contributing to the overall success of the organizationAttend trade shows and conferences on management and construction topics as presentedVisit jobsites on an ongoing basis as neededOther duties as requested by the EVP/President Qualifications: Education and Work Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree (B.
