We're building our skilled electronics test technician team Entron Controls has an immediate opening for an Electronics Test Technician I. In this key contributor role, the ideal team member will apply their skilled experience to positively impact the team and production.

ENTRON Controls supplies a full line of microprocessor-based, solid-state controls for industrial welding applications. Controls are produced at our 20,000 sq/ft climate-controlled facility. Your experience and background:

· Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, designs, schematics and other materials related to assembly.

· Perform functional testing on finished assemblies (e.g., meters, power supplies, scopes, etc.) referencing work orders, procedures, standards and/or guides.

· Utilize a combination of measuring tools and hand tools with the ability to inspect and test completed printed circuit boards (PCBs), ensuring quality specifications are met.

· Perform inspections to ensure parts (both low and high voltage) meet production specifications and standards.

· Apply critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and repair issues.

· Conduct or organize calibration activities for mechanical, electrical, and linear equipment according to established procedures to maintain calibration status.

· Schedule and coordinate calibrations among various departments, entering data into calibration management system.

· Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration and diagnosis of products.

· Test assembled small cabinets ensuring quality specifications are met, correcting fails as needed.

· Utilizes system to log each job accurately and correctly to record time and materials for each job.

· Communicates progress several times a day to the shift line leader and/or Supervisor.

· Promote a safe workplace.

Requirements:

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Must be 18 years or older, meeting safety guidelines and requirements.

· Minimum of 6 months experience or enrolled in electronics course/education program.

· Cross-functional, technical assembly experience highly desired.

· Ability to perform problem solving techniques and utilize root cause analysis.

· General computer knowledge.

· Able to speak, read, and write English; communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

· Able to utilize hand tools in a standard motion, twisting and turning wrists, pushing, pulling, gripping and extending.

· Able to apply basic math skills with accuracy (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, etc.).

· Able to read, understand, and follow instructions, workorders, and specifications while maintaining accuracy and quality.

· Possess organizational and multi-task skills.

· Ability to work independently while contributing to and collaborating in a positive team environment.

· In support of drug-free workplace, ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening; pre-employment physical also required.
