Also, we are committed to integrity and honesty, and value substance and innovation. As an Experimental Semiconducting Quantum Physicist – Post-Doctoral Researcher at APL you will...Propose and lead independent research projects focus on novel semiconducting quantum devices, controls, or characterization techniques.Work collaboratively with other APL staff to identify emerging challenges with quantum solutions.Support ongoing programs in quantum information science by making immediate contributions to efforts that are looking to implement quantum characterization, control, and error protection strategies in semiconducting spin qubit systems. QualificationsYou will meet our minimum qualifications if you…Have a PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.Have 2+ years of experimental experience with quantum, condensed matter, or cryogenic systems.Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Have a proven record of research accomplishments and publications in the field of quantum science.Are willing to occasionally travel to sponsor sites, conferences and workshops.Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI+poly level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
