These cities, 125 miles north of Minneapolis, are at the heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area, one of the state’s top vacation destinations.Education Qualifications:Must meet ONE of the following requirements:6 months of nursing assistant experienceCompletion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing programSuccessful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hireVerifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training programCurrent registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry This position will work the following:32 hours/weekEvery Other WeekendRotating 8 Hour ShiftsDay Shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PMEvening Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PMAs a Nursing Assistant, you are responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (possibly with guidance from an LPN) to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Works within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies.Duties will vary by patient care unit/department and include but are not limited to:Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needsProviding comfort care and other assistanceAppropriately and safely transferring patientsTaking vital signs and completing recordkeepingRecognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RNMaintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.Licensure/Certification Qualifications:Certification/Licensure:BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire dateJob Location: St Josephs Medical CenterShift Rotation: Day/Eve Rotation (United States of America)Shift Start/End: 7:00AM and 3:00PM/3:30PM and 11:30PMHours Per Pay Period: 64Compensation Range: $17.84 - $22.19 / hourUnion: St Josephs SEIU Local 113 (STJSEIU)FTE: 0.8Weekends: Every OtherCall Obligations:Sign On Bonus:
