CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments.SummaryThe Machine Operator maximizes efficiency through the process of set-ups and operations of various automatic machines for the manufacture of all types of parts for new or revised products. Works in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.Essential Duties And Responsibilities• Performs, sets up, and operates Komatsu and Maypresses to produce machined parts according to blueprints, router package specifications and/or special instructions.• Understands and uses drawings, manuals, and work instructions to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.• Starts and observes on-going machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.• Verifies conformance of finished work-piece to specifications.• Prepares and verifies production machine operations on trial run to ensure accuracy of machine settings.• Selects tooling and fixtures pertaining to the production operation of various types of machines.• Checks tooling and replaces as needed to keep machine running.• Inspects parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.Education and/or Experience• Working experience of manufacturing environment.• 5 years related industrial machine shop experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.What You’ll Also Get Career Opportunity: Career paths aren’t linear here. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
