We are currently seeking a skilled Controls Technician. This position is integral to the maintenance and improvement of our manufacturing processes, focusing on the programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment and possess strong technical skills in PLC programming. 
Responsibilities: 
Develop, implement, and maintain PLC programs to enhance manufacturing efficiency and safety.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in manufacturing equipment, including PLC-based control systems.
Perform regular maintenance on control systems and machinery to prevent downtime and extend equipment life.
Work closely with the engineering team to design and implement new control systems for production lines.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production staff on control systems operation.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations, and participate in safety training sessions.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.
Document control system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities.
Stay up-to-date with advances in PLC technology and control systems.
Job Requirements
Proven experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with electrical systems, including knowledge of sensors, motors, and drives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex systems.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
High school diploma or equivalent; four-year degree in a related field not required but beneficial.
Relevant certifications or technical training in PLC programming, electrical systems, or automation technology.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
Willingness to work in a plant environment and adapt to varying temperature conditions.
Availability for shift work, overtime, and emergency call-outs as required.
