Join our growing Distribution team todayUNFI of Prescott, WI, located 24 miles southeast of St. Paul, MN, is hiring for experienced and entry level warehouse associates to join our team.Why Work for UNFI?Starting Pay $21.75/hr+ Incentive Pay.Increase to $23.50/hr after 2 consecutive weeks of 100%+ ProductivityWeekend Differential $2.00/hrFreezer Differential $2.00/hr$2,000 Referral Bonusfor full-time selector referralsPosition Purpose:A Order Selector uses a power pallet jack to navigate the warehouse to pick orders utilizing a vocollect headset system. You will be responsible for safely and accurately pulling and gathering orders of goods in our warehouse. Additionally, an Order Selector will palletize the orders, shrink wrap the pallets, and place them in the assigned locations.Schedule:Part-time schedule working 3 days a weekTraditional hours include Sunday start time of 12:00pm and Monday-Friday start time of 2:00pmEssential Functions and Basic Duties:Inspects assigned jack for safety issuesEnters the proper information into the productivity measureIdentifies the correct pick location and pick sequence in accordance to the orderPicks the correct item and quantity, checking UPC s or item descriptionsPlaces pick labels on the side of the casesCorrectly identifies Master Case locationsIdentifies and immediately reports miss-located productsShrink wraps and labels with correct truck, stop and other required informationStages pallets in appropriate bayListens for first and last call and obtains all out of stocks in a timely mannerKeeps area clean and debris out of work areaImmediately informs a supervisor or manager of any potential safety threatsObtains aisle-cleaning assignmentOperates pallet jack/push cart in a safe and efficient mannerReports to supervisor or lead any violation of company policyBuilds a stable and well cubed palletParks and recharges pallet jack in its appropriate spot at the end of your shiftPerform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for locationQualifications:Must be 18 years or olderUnderstanding of Safety guidelinesStrong knowledge of applicable Bakco functions and RF systemsWarehouse/Operations preferred but not requiredUnderstanding of WMS preferred but not requiredAbility to select at established minimum rate for departmentAstute, close attention to detailUnderstand and properly follow all selecting procedures and verbal instructions in your respective area: grocery, repack, cooler/freezerExposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery OperationPossess an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processesPhysical Requirements:Lifting objects weighing from less than 20 lbs. to 60 lbs. consistentlyOccasionally pushing, sitting, touching, reaching, climbing, pulling, and gripping.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
