We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.SummaryThe Regulatory Compliance Associate plays a key role in Simplot's Stewardship and Compliance function, especially with regard to the stewardship and management of bioengineered products and processes. The role oversees the collection, review and management of stewardship and compliance documents and records within Simplot and with our customers and partners. In this role, the Regulatory Compliance Associate will manage information and data needed to fulfill federal and state government regulatory requirements as well as administer company stewardship policies and practices. This individual will assist in developing and implementing stewardship systems including product integrity and quality management. The Regulatory Compliance Associate is responsible for training company employees, outside collaborators and other stakeholders as necessary. The role requires cross-functional team collaboration, concise written and oral communication, organization and excellent attention to detail. The role reports to the Simplot Plant Sciences Regulatory Manager.Key Responsibilities Partner with internal study directors and external collaborators in data management and quality assurance to comply with company, USDA, EPA, and state regulatory agency requirements. Assist in the management of field and product data for shipping, planting, harvesting, inventory and disposition of biotech products across multiple locations. Conduct regulatory compliance and stewardship training for study directors and collaborators. Communicate updated requirements as needed.
Champion continuous improvement efforts to optimize process efficiency for compliance systems. Implement and manage quality management tracking and documentation systems to support the commercial launch of biotech crops. Participate in program design, implementation and data reporting for identity preservation and stewardship systems.Typical Education Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a 4-year college or university in a biological science, agriculture or related degree.Relevant Experience Prefer experience in quality assurance, identity preservation and/or quality management systems (e.g. Excellence Through Stewardship, ISO, HACCP) Familiarity with government and/or state regulatory processes for biotechnology products Experience with Microsoft suite of products (sp.
