This role will bring together the capabilities of Data Science and AI with opportunities to enhance business capabilities beyond what humans can accomplish alone. The Analyst will be primarily focused on facilitating AI governance policy and process to ensure safe and protected solutions are deployed aligned to best practices and the Company's guiding principles for responsible AI. The Analyst will also assist in managing the delivery of AI solutions supporting a specific global business domain. This is an individual contributor role that provides expertise with AI governance, as well as with managing requirements for technology solutions, and coordinates and influences the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of Data Science work. Key ResponsibilitiesAI Governance Facilitates a consistent and transparent Simplot AI decision-making process with senior leadership across legal, procurement, business, and IT teams Researches potential risks and value of new AI solutions and presents findings to AI governance stakeholders Develops and shares expertise on leading AI laws and regulations, standards efforts, and best practices Captures and facilitates consensus for clear AI standards Manages enterprise AI solution governance repository and maintains enterprise registry of AI solutions Provides training and education on core AI concepts, standards, and best practices Ensures AI standards are implemented and reflected through solution procurement, design, development, implementation, and monitoring practicesData Science Solution Delivery Facilitates sessions with the business to define moderately complex AI use cases. Captures and documents product functional requirements from business partners, including new features and enhancements. Regularly obtains feedback from business owners and stakeholders to confirm requirements are met prior to deployment. Manages requirements throughout product lifecycle Defines test cases based on specific business use cases. Coordinates UAT with team members and business partners. Demonstrates technical and non-technical expertise with foundational data management or machine learning/AI knowledge and skills and exerts influence within the immediate team. Participates in the delivery of solutions to moderately complex or complex problems. Represents team to business partners. Consults with team members and other organizations, business partners, and vendors on complex issues. May complete configuration of AI solutions individually in low-code environments, or through more junior analysts or vendors.Typical Education Bachelor's degree required, equivalent education and experience may be consideredRelevant Experience 3-8 years of experience Skilled at facilitation and building consensus among diverse groups of stakeholders Intermediate skills in requirements gathering, defining use cases, synthesizing research, and creating documentation. Strong meeting planning and facilitation skills. General understanding of data science and/or analytics product lifecycle. Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team. Understanding of software configuration, design, testing and implementation practices. Intermediate understanding of information security procedures and practices and data management practices. Understanding of basic data modeling and preparation. Basic understanding or experience with data preparation, visualization, analysis, or AI solution development using no or low-code technologies, or common programming languages (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python, Azure services).
