About the Role:

As a CNC Machining/Manufacturing Engineer at KARL STORZ, you'll provide hands-on engineering support to our Franklin facility, focusing on continuous improvement, process implementation, and advanced troubleshooting. This role will also involve the integration of new products, processes, and equipment-fostering growth in an innovative, high-tech manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Quality teams to launch and maintain efficient, effective manufacturing processes.
  • Design and qualify tooling, fixtures, and equipment for optimal machining.
  • Troubleshoot, validate, and optimize existing processes and equipment.
  • Manage insourcing new parts and equipment selection/qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Improve product line layout, flow, and quality to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives and author Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

What We're Looking For
  • Education: BS in a Technical or Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Strong background in CNC machining process development, automation, and programming.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC, tooling and fixture design, SolidWorks, SPC, GD&T, and process yield improvement analytics.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with international teams and an openness to travel.
  • Familiarity with cobot integration, machine monitoring, and learning systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and HMI/SCADA.
  • Background in Quality Control and inspection processes.
