This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can adapt to production needs, maintain accurate records, and uphold safety, quality, and food safety standards. You'll be responsible for operating and troubleshooting machinery, coordinating with team members, and efficiently preparing materials to meet company and customer specifications.Responsibilities: Ensure that all ingredients are correct based on SAP item number, and all LOT code information is properly recorded including LOT changes.
Report any and all ingredient issues, damages, or non-conformances on the LOT code tracking paperwork, allowing for proper accountability of the ingredient(s). Know when changes are needed in ice and water, communicating them to the production supervisors to ensure that all changes made will ensure an efficient and streamlined work flow.
Keeping accurate and neat records of production up and down times, and recording any and all issues delaying or impacting the mixing process.
Troubleshoot issues before getting maintenance or supervisors involved if it is a minor issue. Communicate the issues to the break relief, mechanics, or supervisors as needed to ensure safe and efficient production runs.
Properly scale and record all ingredients, including hand additions, to the correct amounts as specified by the product recipe. Properly record dough temperatures, flour weight, ice, water, and mix times for each batch, ensuring that any and all changes made are properly and clearly recorded. Report any products that may contain foreign materials immediately to the production supervisors so the proper steps can be taken to alleviate or fix the issue, ensuring the safety of every product.
Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized work area. Ensuring that all waste is disposed of in a timely manner. Know, understand, and follow safe operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices. Performs all tasks and duties required to ensure production and efficiency standards are met.
Ensure the proper set-up for the next shift and communicate to them all information relevant to the manufacturing process.
Perform training of new techs and assist in other training activities which support the manufacturing process. Ensure all company assets including but not limited to machinery, tools, and the facility; are accounted for and kept in a safe, clean, and well maintained condition. Make all necessary machinery & equipment adjustments and performs all tasks & duties necessary for efficient start-ups, daily operation, change-over and shut-downs. Other duties as required or assigned.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Previous work history in a food manufacturing facility is preferred. Ability to communicate, read and write in English, and use of basic math and time keeping.
