Make history with us.Job SummaryThe HR Coordinator is responsible for providing Human Resources support to the facility, administering a variety of HR programs and procedures throughout the organization. Responsible for supporting the HR function to ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal laws and guidelines. Essential Job Duties• Provides front desk coverage.• Communicate regularly with employees and outside contacts both in English and Spanish to answer questions, provide information, complete paperwork, etc.; respond to inquiries and complaints regarding employee-related issues and initiate action to resolve valid complaints/requests.• Coordinate internal promotions/transfers and outside recruitment to meet hourly staffing needs; work with the appropriate staffing agency and supervisors to coordinate recruitment, training, and orientation of temporary employees.• Coordinate, facilitate, and continuously update onsite new hire and benefits orientations for new employees, (English and Spanish versions); prepare employee information packets for new hires and various employee meetings and events.• Issue lockers to employees and maintain records to control and monitor use.• Assist with preparation and distribution (English and Spanish versions) of employee announcements and updates; maintain all standard and digital HR bulletin boards in the facility, ensuring all communications are up-to-date.• Help to plan and coordinate employee engagement and communication events and activities, as well as employee committee events including but not limited to company picnics, retirements and appreciation lunches.• Maintain all HR related files both paper and digital• Coordinate, perform and audit weekly payroll tasks which could include confirming eligibility for holiday pay, vacation, sick, personal time, and OT incentives, working with leaders to ensure schedules are correct and timesheets are completed accurately and approved prior to the weekly deadline.• Assist in the development and implementation of HR objectives, policies, procedures.• Assist in the performance evaluation process for hourly employees and temporary associates by tracking evaluation and completion dates and sending reminders to leaders.• Act as the sites leave administrator by communicating, coordinating and auditing company leaves of absences and other applicable state leaves.• May track, audit and administer attendance points and discipline, obtaining approval from HR Generalist/HR Manager prior to sending discipline documents to supervisors for presentation to employees.• Tracks 30/60/90-day reviews for completion and filing.• Administers Random Drug Testing process.• Time will be spent both on the plant floor and in an office environment.• Provide backfill relief for HR Generalist as needed. • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Regulations consistently.• Other duties as neededScope of ResponsibilityWork performed with little supervision. No budgetary responsibility.Knowledge and Skill Requirements• Ability to present in an effective manner both in English and in Spanish• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships• Ability to communicate/interact with all levels of employees at the site in a professional manner• Perform tasks with a high level of confidentiality• Flexibility in working hours to ensure appropriate HR coverage in a fast-paced 24/7 operation environment• Strong attention to detail, ensuring the highest level of accuracy.• Pro-active, self starter, and have the ability to successfully work independently as well as on a team• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines while also ensuring the needs of the employees are made a priority• Intermediate to advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Suite including Office, Excel, Forms and PowerPoint• Experience in Workday and UKG strongly preferred• Bilingual in English and SpanishEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma/GED required with 2 years of HR experience or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
