Human Resources Assistant

Our GREAT STATE TEAM is seeking a HYBRID Human Resources Assistant to join our team. As a Human Resources Assistant you would be responsible for Human Resource administrative processes related to the entire employment cycle. Tasks may include administering HR policies and procedures, providing support to employees regarding day-to-day HR inquiries, and providing assistance to the HR and Recruitment teams as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or further their career in human resources.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assistance with new hire orientation and onboarding processes
  • Support payroll processing by reviewing timesheets, verifying attendance records, and assisting with pay related inquiries
  • Assist with development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Coordinate employee training sessions and other HR lead employee meetings
  • Assist in administration of employee benefit programs
  • Serve as point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
  • Support the HR team in organizing events, meetings, and recognition programs
  • Assis in the preparation of HR reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Assist with new hire check-in process and other employee engagement initiatives
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
  • 1 year or previous HR or administrative support experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, virtual environment
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn, grow, and assist in any areas as needed
  • High School Diploma or GED
