SHORT SUMMARY:The General Manager (GM) oversees all daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and profitability. The GM will leverage their technical skills and business acumen to drive performance, quality, and safety while maintaining a strong focus on customersatisfaction and associate development.SUMMARY:The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for managing the day-to-dayoperations. The GM will work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement businessstrategies to achieve company objectives including revenue growth, cost reduction, customersatisfaction, financial health, and growth of the company. The GM will also be tasked withdeveloping and leading the team and optimizing operational efficiency.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Leadership and Management
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the business unit.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration andaccountability.
Ensure effective communication and maintain a high-performance culture throughout theplant, with other departments, and across the organization..
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and support to staff.
Set a high level of excellence and foster a positive and productive work environment.
Implement and uphold company policies and procedures.
Performs other duties assigned by the Executive team.Financial Oversight and Growth
Prepare and manage the plant's budget, including cost control measures.
Analyze financial reports and performance data to identify areas for cost-saving initiativesand process improvement.
Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability to meetfinancial objectives of the company.
Develop financial strategies to enhance profitability, including pricing models, costmanagement, and investment in new technologies.
Conduct financial forecasting and risk management to safeguard the company s financialhealth.
Work collaboratively with leadership team and accounting teams to communicate andcoordinate all financial matters.Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share and productofferings.
Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth and achieve long-term businessobjectives.
Drive initiatives to enhance innovation and competitiveness.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, andpartners to foster growth and innovation.
Understand market trends and demands, customer needs, and competitor activities toidentify potential opportunities and threats.
Represent the company at industry events and conferences.Operational Oversight (work in conjunction with Plant Manager)
Oversee all manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced on time, withinbudget, efficiently and to quality standards.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance, including productionschedules, workflow, and equipment maintenance.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively with HR, IT, and related shared services to determine needs for thesite.
Develop and implement operational policies and processes.
Monitor and support all certifications (e.g., Quality, Market, Customer Specific) andrequirements.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Customer and Supplier Relations:
Exceed customer expectations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Address any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
Maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure the best terms and conditions.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform business improvements.Quality and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., ISO,OSHA).
Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure products meet or exceedcustomer expectations.
Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.Domestic travel may be required.EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:Bachelor s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred). Technical training orcertifications in manufacturing or production management are a plus. Proven experience as aGeneral Manager or in a similar executive role. Strong understanding of business functionssuch as HR, Finance, Marketing, and Operations. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage adiverse team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong analyticaland problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Financialacumen and experience with budgeting and financial management. Knowledge ofindustry-specific regulations and best practices.
