Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego - Sorrento Valley is seeking full-time Credentialed Veterinary Technicians to join our 24/7 Emergency, Specialty Referral, & Teaching hospital in San Diego, California.

If so, youve come to the right place Here at Veterinary Specialty Hospital- Sorrento Valley you will find Neurology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Medical/Radiation Oncology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Advanced Imaging (MRI, CT, U/S, Radiology), Blood Banking, ECC (ER, Intermediate Care, ICU) all under one roof. In addition to these specialties, we also operate our own Pharmacy.

Veterinary Specialty Hospital is acutely aware of how overworked and underpaid veterinary nurses have been historically and is a leader in the industry actively working to change that. It would be impossible to name all, but a few include the support of our in-house social worker, highly competitive pay scales, benefits, set shift schedule that promotes work/life balance, not to mention a furnished roof-top dining area for a breath of fresh air

Additionally, we are highly supportive of and advocates for education. We proudly offer monthly, race approved CE on a wide range of topics. The sessions are conducted by our board certified doctors, residents and VTS credentialed technicians. Veterinary personnel from all over are invited to attend in person, via webinar or can be given access to a recording of the session.

Pay Ranges: 

RVT:  $25-35/hr
VTS  $31-40/hr

* Additional shift differentials of $2.00-3.50/hr available for overnight

Surgery

Emergency/Critical Care/Patient Care:

*Intermediate Care (overnight)

* ER/Patient Care (overnight)

Internal Medicine:

* Technician

Medical Oncology:
* Technician

*  Liaison

Radiation Oncology:

* Technician

Neurology:

* Technician

About you:

 * Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a progressive veterinary hospital setting required
* Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring
* Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic techniques is       required
* RVT or VTS preferred
* Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with   colleagues, clients, and community is required.
* Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service
