The Hospice and Palliative Care Director will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer of the Hospital. Reporting up to this role are a group of exceptional LPNs, RNs, Physical Therapists, and Clinical Care Coordinators. There are also MDs and and Clinical Social Workers who will work closely with the Director of Hospice and Palliative Care in order to ensure patient safety and satisfaction of care. 

The Director of Hospice and Palliative Care will oversee the administration and day to day operations of both departments. This role will oversee 10 FTEs over both departments, and will be responsible for all scheduling, financial, and clinical operations necessary to keep these units running smoothly. This unit is known for their ability to support each other as needed, and is responsible for making the families that they serve feel that their needs are being met to the best of their ability as a team. 

The Palliative and Hospice Director will oversee both the Hospice and Palliative care departments, with customer care and satisfaction as the paramount objective. They will also verify that licensure and regulatory policies are being met and regularly audited to ensure compliance with federal and local laws. In addition, the Director will  be a champion of continuing education, ensuring improvement while continuing to provide exceptional care for all patients and family members.
