Key Accountabilities for Plant Sanitation/Quality ControlWill Report to Plant ManagerBe a high performing team memberEnsure plant cleanlinessSanitation backup - Use scrubbers on floors where needed dailySanitation backup - Wipe all lockers, conduit, machines, forklifts, air compressor room, etcVerify that all cleaning is completed daily, weekly, and monthly and documented.Verify weekly check sheets dust hog, metal utensil, daily scale check, magnet and sifter logs, Sample log and defective bag log are filled out and put away as needed.Document glass and brittle plastic check sheetLearn the SQF documents that the Food Safety and Quality Assurance role createdVerify that all pre-operation inspections are done dailyCheck the surrounding area of building for garbage etc.Inform plant manager when sanitation / office supply needs ordered.Verify and document the calibration of magnet with the pull test monthlyOversee that sample requests from main office are completed within 5 business days. Document tracking and report back to main office as shipments go out.Verify carrier s inbound paperwork matches our inbound notification. Verify all inbound product lot codes match supplier COA sShipping/Receiving backup for full truckload inbound logistics:Inspect inbound trucks and complete inbound truck inspection form to verify the truck meets our quality requirements (seal intact, product not damaged, trailer is clean and in good condition). If the trailer meets requirements, fill out inbound log book. Sign and verify paperwork for carriers. For LTL- If trailer fails requirements, reject carrier and notify the following team members. For all outbound shipments, sign and verify outbound paperwork for carriersPerform monthly swabs and follow SQF 2.4.8 Environmental swab procedure procedure on share drive and print out Environmental test schedule 2.4.8.4, prepare, collect and ship EMP swabs to 3rd party Lab. Review the results. If there is anything out-of-spec, notify Quality Assurance and follow the procedure documented in SQF program to address a positive test result.Email the summary paperwork to Quality Control. Print SARF that Quality Controlcreated. Package SARF s the Order Details (.pdf) along with the physical product samples into custom box. Print FEDEX label created by 3rd party labs and place box in trucker trap shelf for pick up.Follow written training program and help new hires and existing employees with the training, save the quiz results to shared driveEvaluate the age of samples to see what can be discarded (all samples are kept for 1 year and then can be discarded). At the end of each shift, Bagger Operator will check the magnet and sifter and collect any samples of what has been collected. Those samples are kept in a cabinet outside of the production room. As needed, Plant Sanitation/Quality Control role collects magnet and sifter samples as well as the product samples (retains) and files them above office on appropriate shelf.Follow documented procedure (SQF Program) to perform quarterly water tests. Collect and send samples to lab. Plant Manager receives tests results. Verify tests results are in-spec. We keep one digital copy on Plant Manager computer and print a hard copy to log into our SQF binder for easy reference. If any tests come back out-of-spec perform retest and evaluate results. If retest comes back out-of-spec, initiate call with Quality Team to identify next steps.Assist SQF Practitioner and Plant Manager with all customers and 3rd party audits if needed.
