Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics.Responsibilities Operate extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) equipment and perform ECMO therapy according to physician orders.Monitor pump functioning throughout patient therapy and maintain pump integrity.Monitor circuit volume and administers products, medications and/or volumes as ordered.Monitor anticoagulation, electrolyte, acid-base balance and blood-gas composition values and adjust ECMO circuit to maintain physician's orders. Generate and compile appropriate documentation and charges related to ECMO. Precept new ECMO team members.Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:One or more of the following required:Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Department of State Health Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Education:High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Additional Preferences No additional preferences.Why Join Our Team Ascension Seton, based in Austin, Texas, has provided thousands of associates and caregivers a rewarding career in healthcare since 1902.
