Monitors service and ensures excellence in service levels.Motivates and leads a high-performance team; attracts, recruits, and retains required members of the team as needed.Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws, as well as all company policies.Administer discipline and participate in Union Meetings as needed.Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF), Food and Drug Admin. (FDA) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location including site specific GMP.Drive high level of associate engagement.Additional Responsibilities Oversees facility functions including maintenance, building improvements, and adherence to legal requirements.Job Requirements: Education/ Certifications: Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience HACCP & SQF certification preferred.Experience: At least five years of supervisory experience required.Knowledge/Skills/ AbilitiesKnowledge of Profit and Loss statements, accounting, human resources, purchasing, facilities, security, and quality control procedures and programs.Understanding of Union Contract.Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements like OSHA, HAACP and Sanitation standards. Knowledge of budgeting, supply contracts, and shipping requirements Knowledge of corporate compliance, ethics policies and code of conduct Understanding of Inventory Control and Management proceduresWork Environment: Onsite Role: This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a distribution center, office, and manufacturing room.Physical Environment/Demands: Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled manufacturing room.Incumbent may sit for periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday. Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties. Excessive time is spent walking or standing to observe.Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
