Secure our Nation, Ignite your FutureBecome an integral part of a diverse team while working at an Industry Leading Organization, where our employees come first.  At ManTech International Corporation, you’ll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator 2 to join our team in the Columbia and Hanover, MD area. The ideal candidate for the System Administrator 2 position will fit the following:Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systemsProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problemsManage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systemsProvide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systemsProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problemsProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customersOptimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planningProvide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systemsProvide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated ticketsProvide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution processConfigure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performanceMinimum Requirements:Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Preferred Qualifications:Meet IAT Level II – ex. Security+ (Sec+) OR be able to secure Sec+ certification or higher.Basic router and switch and switch configuration knowledge, necessary for configuration and/or system hardening and compliance scanning requirement.Elastic (ELK) Stack configuration and user experienceSecurity Clearance Requirements:Current/active TS/SCI with PolygraphPhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of timeConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printerAbility for clear communication with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentationsFor all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
