Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.

The Activities and Recreation Manager oversees all pertinent operations to ensure the utmost in guest and member satisfaction. Responsibilities encompass activity programming, member events, the Kids Club, children's activities, and equipment rentals, with a focus on creating and implementing comprehensive programs throughout the year that surpass the expectations of guests and members.
Position Summary:
- Lead and direct all Recreation operations to include, but not limited to, guest service, food and beverage selection and quality, merchandising and marketing, inventory management and cost controls, systems use and management, budget and forecasting, report generation, labor controls and department management.
- Plan, organize and direct the operations of activities and events.
- Oversee and direct the coordination, promotion and facilitation of all activities, programs and events.
- Research recreation programs and activities and work to execute from a property standpoint from our own sources and staffing.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high level of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse upset guests and able to collect accurate information to resolve conflict.
- Ensure the recreation programs are successful and pivot as needed.
- Create and manage schedules for both activities and team members.
- Recruit, train and oversee staff.
- Execute special projects with an eye to fulfill long-term goals.
- Responsible for providing up-to-date recreation information to all pertinent outlets.
- Communicate with clients and guests to prepare group reservations.
- Conduct daily meetings to keep team members informed.
- Continuously monitor attendant's performance and offer coaching and assistance as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.

The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience.
