Join us to bring the gift of health to life.Valencia, CA2nd Shift 12(noon) - 8:30pmThe Logistics Specialist will facilitate the outbound and inbound shipment for our Valencia facility. This role ensures that all shipments are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and procedures. The Logistics Specialist will perform costing and price analysis for shipments to customers The Logistics Specialist will work closely with various departments to coordinate the timely dispatch and receipt of goods, maintain accurate records, and provide excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:Works with carrier estimates and costs updates via JD Edward's E1 Freight Systems.Performs ongoing maintenance of proprietary rating and routing software for billing efficiencies.Performs on going assessment of transportation networks for continuous improvement opportunities.Updates customer routing guides to assure up to date vendor compliance of carrier selection to our customers, as well as expected transit times.Prepare and manage shipping documents such as bill of lading, packing list and/or imports and exports documentation.Communicates daily with several internal/external departments within the supply chain operations groups, suppliers, distribution centers, carrier representatives and third-party logistics providers for most efficient recommendations ofTroubleshoots and resolves transportation invoice issues with carriers and A/P groups.Resolves and recommends resolutions to service issues to ensure appropriate customer service levels to accounts.Identify and resolve logistics issues and challenges.Resolves and recommends resolutions to service issues to ensure appropriate customer service levels to accounts.Performs other related duties as assigned.Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for the Logistics Specialist position will possess a blend of technical skills, industry knowledge, and personal attributes that align with the company's goals and values. Various elements are used to determine a candidate's starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.
