Job Description Training/Learning & Development Coordinator - Colby, WIADM/RevelaThis is an exempt level positionPosition Summary:This role serves as the learning & development coordinator for the Colby complex and is responsible for the development and implementation of the technical training program and for(PE) Performance Excellence coordination. This job is responsible for ensuring that team development and technical training is completed in alignment with Performance Excellence principles and methodologies to promote operational efficiency, consistency and continuous improvement. This position will also be responsible for management support to facilitate safe reliable efficient plant operations as directed by
the Complex Manager. These duties may include but limited to operational troubleshooting , layered audits for all the pillars CCD,SMS,WPO,DEC,SQE,PM working
permit issuance, and filling in for operations management staff absences such as vacation coverage.Job Responsibilities:Develop and implement a premier training program to provide a highly effective, robust, motivated, and safe workforce passionate about continuous improvement by:Collaborate with the
Performance Excellence Team to develop, implement, document, and measure the efficiency of training.Lead the collaboration and creating the CCD skill set assessment matrixes and coordination with other operations stakeholders.Utilize established CCD 2.0 Tools, resources, templates to conduct Focused Training Initiatives and World Class Training Initiatives Coordinate with plant leadership to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities tied to plant losses and define Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and training measures of success. Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions as required. Mentor and develop
unit/department employees to establish an inspiring & high performance culture.Be champion and take full ownership of implementing
standardized SMS pillar for Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 planning, coordination and implementing.Support safe, reliable performance of duties by ensuring that units/departments follow Site, Corporate, Quality and regulatory standards related to operating procedures and MOCs (Management of Change).Collaborate with Corporate L&D and peer L&D Coordinators to drive best practices and consistency of training across the site.Responsible for the Site's new hire training and mentoring program 30,60,90 assessmentsEstablish relationships and collaborate with OJT (on the job training) mentors, subject matter experts, procedure reviewers, training reviewers, engineers, managers/supervisors, and EHS staff to support the site's training activities.Maintain, update and audit all training documents and procedures as required by changes, MOCs, CCD skill set matrixes and periodic reviews.Responsible for the L&D matrix and providing weekly/by weekly updates of progress for the Cogen, Refinery, lab team
and Crush plant.Enhance skills to include adult learning methodologies and deliver one on one coaching and instruction, in the field training, casual small group training, and formal stand up instruction.Other management support functions as determined by Plant Manager to assist in maintaining safe, reliable , and efficient plant operationsAligning with the site leadership team on specific mitigation steps in bridging the training gaps identified.Key stakeholder of
the employee feedback/surveys, recognition and retention team.Job Requirements:Degree preferred or relevant years of experience.Ideally 2 or more years of experience in food manufacturing, with experience training and supporting food safety.Spanish speakingThis job require high level proficiency in
Microsoft skills daily working with Microsoft teams, share point, One note, Microsoft form, Excel, word, power point.The ability to lead and motivate others and championing change.Ability to create buy-in from team and continual persuasion and follow upThe ability to assess training needs, translate job requirements into training requirements, and organize instructional material both during development and in presentations.Proficiency in active listening, clear communication, training, coaching, and developing.Ability to identify issues and problem solve.Networking skills to help get all others to support Performance Excellence and training programs, including the ability to encourage and improve the level of engagement within their team.Presentation skills suitable to all types of training (one-on-one coaching, in-the-field training, casual small group training, and formal stand-up instruction).
