Title: Quality Control Specialist
Location: Nashua NH
Schedule: Monday through Friday on site 8-5
Duration: 6 month contract to hire
Start: ASAP

Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in materials science or a related field is preferred, but will consider extensive experience in quality control for a manufacturing environment.

Requirements:
2-3 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment. Internships (paid or unpaid) will also be considered for this pre-requisite on a case-by-case basis.
“Must Haves”
* Attention to detail with the ability to create inspection criteria and categorize minor defects within a set of inspection criteria.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings through PowerPoint™, Excel™, and Microsoft Teams™.
* Comfortable working in both a industrial laboratory and manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
* Conduct inspection and physical testing on incoming materials. Release materials to the production floor based on results of inspection results meeting criterion. * Testing to include, but not limited to, melt flow index (MFI), color analysis, visual quality inspection, mechanical testing (tensile behavior), and other polymeric testing methods.
* Work alongside quality control team to produce certificates of analysis (COA) for shipments of products based on individual data reporting needs of our customers.
* Manage inventory of materials which are quarantined due to failure to meet QC requirements.
* Develop quality control processes and methods which will make our standard operating procedures more efficient and easier to follow.
* Ensure proper standard operating procedures are being carried out on the production floor and bring attention to incidents where operations fail to follow the accepted methods.
