We are looking for these talented and dedicated individuals to join our family.The duties of a Dietz & Watson Merchandiser are listed below but not limited to:Safely operate a deli slicerSet up of deli cases and appropriately rotate deli productUnderstand and execute schematics/planogramsMaintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson Point of Sale (POS)Needs to be a self-starter, work in a team environment and or with little or no supervisionManage time effectively and productivelyComplete all reports as necessary including store surveysConsistently provide coverage to all stores within assigned territory based on store rankingMake regular store visits documenting all concerns/problems (i.e. shortages, equipment problems, ordering issues, etc.) and addressing these concerns in a timely mannerBuild and maintain customer relationships by displaying high-level customer service techniques to deli managers, employees, and store customersPossess the knowledge and ability to both create and market Dietz & Watson programsTraining of all new store deli hires on the merits of Dietz & Watson and refresh training when neededCommunicate any information deemed necessary to Merchandiser Manager (i.e. grand openings, store closing, etc.)Utilizing the monthly sales reports to achieve 100% distribution.Explore opportunities for sales growth w/Merchandiser ManagerMaintain full displaysMaintain a clean and sanitary work environmentPerform special projects outside of assigned territory
Minimum RequirementsFlexibility and ability to travel (including flying) as needed and may be up to 30% of the time.Must be able to read and write EnglishMust have computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Must possess communication, organization, creativity, and customization skillsMust be able to exercise independent decision-making skills on a regular basisMust be available to work weekends on occasionHigh school diploma or equivalence1-2 years of customer service/sales experience preferred. Previous deli experience is a plus.Must have a reliable vehicle and must have a valid driver's license.Must be able to pass the company issued ServSafe Manager examGeneral Working Conditions/EnvironmentRoom Temperature while in storesPhysical RequirementsStanding, Bending, TwistingAbility to lift to 20 pounds frequentlyAbility to lift to 50 pounds occasionalPush /pull carts containing product - occasionally up to 100 lbs.WalkingReachingUse of both hands and armsOperate a motor vehicleMust be able to work in a safety sensitive positionAt times be in refrigerated cooler areasMust be able to work in a safety sensitive position
