Are you up for the dare?This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.Position SummaryIn a typical 24-hour production cycle, we conduct 30,000 documented quality checks involving ingredient/packaging, receiving, processing, and packing. We re backed by a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, but more significantly, we re grounded in a strong values system of developing high-quality products with unconditional integrity, passion, expertise, performance, and innovation.The Quality Specialist (Product Safety) is responsible for helping to implement, manage, and improve the factory Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to guarantee the production of safe, high-quality products. You will assist in ensuring factory food safety programs are in place andcomply with guidelines. In this role, you will participate in overseeing all sanitation standards and pest activity throughout the factory. You will also monitor and investigate physical, chemical and biological food safety hazards and implement appropriate controls.Monitor pest activity, identify and help implement corrective actions, and plan pest control methods and heat treatments.Provide cleanliness standards for our sanitary processes in the factory by working directly with the engineering and maintenance departments on Sanitary Design of equipment and modifications prior and during installation.Communicate with plant and department managers regarding status and needs of the product safety area.Maintain and enhance foreign material policies and associated inspections, investigations and trackingProvide support and guidance to all departments regarding food safety issues and assist supervisor with training and development of factory personnelRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent2+ years experience in a food manufacturing, industrial facility, military, or related fieldThe approximate pay range for this position is $59,000 to $94,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
