Apply today for our Manager Cardiac Surgical Intermediate Care opportunity.Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Manager of the Intensive Care Unit  and CSIC you will be a highly qualified, expert clinician who possesses advanced care skills and has demonstrated strong critical thinking skills. You will assist the Nursing Unit Director in planning, implementing and assessing the day-to-day functions of the unit. You will provide supervisory and management oversight for staff members and departmental resources and processes. You will collaborate with physicians to expedite information and manage throughput on cases ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill patients. Our team works together and supports each and cares like family. We are looking for someone who has a passion for providing quality patient care and has the ability to lead, coach and mentor our skilled ICU and CSIC staff. In this Manager role: You will have the ability to create and maintain an environment that results in above average satisfaction ratings from employees, patients and physicians.You will have the ability to delegate work responsibilities based on team member strengths, developmental needs, and workload.You will have the ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of staff performance and implements training and development accordingly.You will work with the Director on department staffing; hiring, evaluating, guiding, disciplining, and scheduling of staff.You will have the ability to retain and recruit sufficient and qualified staff for effective operations.You will manage compliance with budget and financial metrics.You will support hospital-wide initiatives and work to foster positive relationships between the ICU and  CSIC and all other departments.What qualifications you will need:Current RN license in the State of Alaska Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or enrolled in a program within 12 monthsAmerican Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and CertificationA minimum of two years high acuity ICU experience Excellent written, oral and presentation skillsStrong clinical skills in the performance of ICU level nursing careStrong leadership skills and organizational skillsAbility to work creatively within a team environmentInitiative and creativity in proposing and implementing projects and initiativesAbility to integrate duties with other department programs to maximize impact and create efficiencies.Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identifying trends relationships and proposing solutions.HCA Healthcare's Alaska Regional Hospital is known for our expertise, compassion and skills.
